Award Winners Revealed at National Pet Industry Trade Show
PIJAC Canada is proud to announce the winners of the 2018 Animal Welfare is Everyone’s Business Retail and Favorite Sales Representative Awards – National Pet Industry Trade Show Edition.
The presentations were made on Sunday evening at the National Pet Industry Trade Show’s 30th Anniversary Gala.
Jeff Dang of Global Pet Foods in Clarkson Village was the recipient of the Animal Welfare is Everyone’s Business Retail Award. The award highlights the work of dedicated and passionate pet retail businesses in the areas of animal health, promotion of responsible pet care, and community involvement to further the well-being of local pets. Jeff and his team are known for their deep involvement with pet charities in their community. They provide phenomenal customer service and are dedicated to offering the right advice on pet care and responsible ownership.
The Favorite Sales Representative Award recognizes candidates from both the manufacturing and distribution categories. It focuses on reps who go above and beyond their everyday tasks, supporting clients in their business so that they can effectively and positively serve pet families.
The winner in the Distribution category was Phil Smith of Freedom Pet Supplies. Phil is described as an encyclopedia of product knowledge and is always just a phone call away for his clients. As a team player, he always jumps right in, taking part in whatever promotions his clients have going on, helping consumers find the right product for them, and doing so with a smile on his face.
The winner in the Manufacturing category was Taryn Herder of Natural Balance. Taryn has an innate excitement about the pet industry and wants to see nothing but the best for her company and clients. Working tirelessly for customers, our winning candidate is always available at a moment’s notice, focusing on doing her part to see her customers succeed.
