Nominations Open for the Canadian Pet Community Awards
“Recognizing our leaders helps to ensure a brighter future for our pets. By highlighting the efforts of trailblazing professionals, others can be inspired to grow their focus on the wellbeing of animals.” – Craig Brummell, PIJAC Canada’s Board Chairman.
PIJAC Canada is proud to announce our third annual pet industry awards, newly rebranded as the Canadian Pet Community Awards. These awards highlight the work of our exceptional members, shining a light on the efforts of the amazing people in our industry and to inspire others to follow in their footsteps. Efforts can include things like, public education on pet care and responsible ownership, offering after-service support to clients, involvement in pet-related community events and anything that supports healthy pet experiences beyond day-to-day operations.
2018 Award Winners
NEW THIS YEAR: On the coattails of last year’s successful events, it was decided to expand the categories to include service providers (ex: groomer, kennel, pet sitter, pet walker, vet clinic, etc.) in 2019. The awards give pet businesses and the public the opportunity to celebrate their favorite store, sales rep or independent service provider. In addition, the process to nominate and vote has been simplified via a new, user-friendly online platform called Judgify. Awards will be handed out at each of our 3 trade shows and include five categories, Favorite Sales Representative (Manufacturing and Distributing), Retail (Chain and Independent) and Service Provider.
Nominations are now open for businesses located in Western Canada! Further details for the awards and how to submit a nomination for the Canadian Pet Community Awards can be found on the PIJAC Canada Events Page. The first set of awards will be handed out at the Western Canadian Pet Industry Trade Show on April 14th at a special networking dinner. We are excited to celebrate 2019’s pet community heroes! The nomination process for the Quebec and Ontario/Maritime regions will open later this spring.
