OSPCA Update
In the last couple days there has been many media reports surrounding the Ontario court decision to review the enforcement powers of the Ontario SPCA. PIJAC Canada felt it was important to make our readers aware of the media reports and the letter released by the OSPCA. There are a number of moving parts to this potentially precedent setting case, which will be following closely and sharing via our news channels.
The OSPCA has protected animals for 100 years and based on their recent statement will continue to do so as the courts decide how to move forward. We support the OSPCA in their efforts and support the government in their work to review the law to make sure Ontario’s animals are protected and the rights of citizens are preserved.
