PIJAC Canada’s President & CEO, Stéphanie Girard, stepping down in 2020

December 12, 2019 (Ottawa, ON) – PIJAC Canada President & CEO, Stéphanie Girard has announced that she will be stepping down, after nearly two years in the role to pursue a new opportunity with her family in Australia. Although she is sad to be leaving PIJAC Canada, she is reassured in knowing that the association has a strong foundation, which she has helped build with the team over the last two years.

During her time with PIJAC Canada, Stéphanie has more than doubled the association’s membership base. At the end of 2017, the association counted 674 members. In November 2019, the association is composed of more than 1500 members. The association has also seen two consecutive record years in terms of attendance and exhibitor numbers at all three Canadian shows. “I’m incredibly proud of what we have achieved together in the last two years. I am confident that the team will pursue this path and continue this momentum in the years to come. I want to thank the amazing team and Board of directors at PIJAC Canada who trusted me and supported me in this wonderful journey.” shared Stéphanie Girard.

It comes with mixed feelings as we announce the departure of Stéphanie. She has taken this association to a new level with her strong sense of leadership and dedication. During her time with us Stéphanie launched a new form of partnership with the Canadian Federation of Independent Business (CFIB) giving all eligible PIJAC Canada members access to a powerful suite of benefits. Although we hate to see Stéphanie go, we are supportive of her decision. We wish her all the best in this new adventure.” says Board Chairman, Craig Brummell.

The search for a new association President & CEO has begun. Stéphanie will remain with the association for the upcoming three months, helping to pave the way for her successor.
