Dog Talk – New Canine Behaviour Program by PIJAC Canada

Recognize potential conflicts, identify doggy discomfort,
better understand your canine clients.

PIJAC Canada is excited to announce its long-awaited program, Dog Talk – Understanding Canines. This latest addition to our animal care education collection is a tool to help bridge the communication barrier between people and dogs.  Whichever profession, whether groomer, dog walker, kennel or veterinary staff, this program opens the door to create safer workplaces for people and more relaxed environments for their canine clients.

“It’s critical for people dealing with dogs on a regular basis to have a clear understanding of how dogs behave and why.”, says Jacynthe Lacroix, Member Services Manager at PIJAC Canada, “Comprehension how genetics, environments, and learning affect a dog’s behavior will better equip canine professionals as well as dog owners in handling, training and managing behavior.” She goes on to say, “Learning to interpret canine body language and communication helps the human-canine relationship function in a more respectful and peaceful manner.”

Like all PIJAC Canada programs we have kept the cost low so that it is accessible to anyone who has an interest in learning more about this topic so please share with your colleagues and clients.  Dog Talk is available online through the association’s education platform.
