Helping You Get Back to Business

While we wouldn’t call life normal as of yet, there has been a movement in that direction.  Some of our members have been able to remain open in one form or another, while others have not.  In both cases, serious adjustments and sacrifices have been made.  The sheer range businesses in your PIJAC Canada network is wide and each has specific needs to get up and running normally again.  This could involve rehiring staff, new sick day policies, adjusted operations, and a mountain of paperwork.

As if you haven’t dealt with enough already, restarting the engine is going to take some effort and we are here to help.  You can now access a Back to Business Kit put together by our partners at the Canadian Federation of Independent Business (CFIB).  You will find these kits on our COVID -19 Resources Page.  Select your province and download the file to get a package full of useful resources such as templates, best practice guidelines, signage, details for government programs, sample letters for HR, and much more.

With our June Board meeting coming up in a couple of weeks the staff has been reviewing and summarizing our activities during the pandemic.  These last few months have been intense.  There have been letters to governments, calls, emails, research, conversations, strategy sessions, social posts.  Advocacy is the activity that founded PIJAC Canada over 30 years ago and the importance of a united voice has never been more relevant as it is this year. PIJAC Canada is over 1400 business members strong and it is this strength that has seen us all through each day of the pandemic.  We will continue to be here for the pet industry, standing up for your rights and those of the pets you serve.  Thank you for standing with your pet professional network.
